Hockey fan desktop. 2009 IIHF World Championship
We just worked out a new non-commercial project for hockey fans from all over the world. It's an interactive Hockey fan desktop.
It looks as automatically filled table of 2009 Championship games. It also contains information of Championship participating countries, all the Championship games daily schedule and clock with Swiss time.

Injured Reserve help
Hello there! :)

Is there a single website where one can go to learn the status (injured reserve, etc.) of a given player, which is updated pretty much regularly? NHL dot com doesn't seem to have a feature like that.

Thanks very much.

Carolina Hurricanes Win the Stanley Cup!!
There are no words (well except for these here. . you know. . that I'm typing . . .) to describe how happy I felt watching Rod Brind'amour receive Lord Stanley's cup for the first time ever last night.
You could read every single emotion he was going through as it passed over his face. Elation, joy, the look of someone finally achieving something dreamed about since childhood. He took a short spin and passed it on to the next eager recipient.

Game 7 of the finals is what it's all about. Nothing like it.

I am thoroughly drained from watching that game.

But oh so happy!

guys, i really am hoping for some help from you. i was only able to watch the first two periods of game seven, and i had my dvr record the game so i could come back and watch the end. and of all days for the dvr to mess up my recording, it picked today :*( so all i have is gray screen and sound. naturally, i already know who won but i would really LOVE to be able to see how it all unfolded. If any of you could direct me to some place online where i could download the game, i would be eternally grateful. thanks :)

NHL Radio Withdrawal - Help!
Because of the Olympic games, I can't get my usual fix of NHL games over the Internet radio. :-( They are a very important part of my day!

Are there any older games archived somewhere that can be either downloaded or streamed? I'm looking for whole games, preferably not clips. By "older" I don't really care if it's last month or five years ago... I just need my radio hockey!

We've got spam and eggs, spam and chips, spam and spam...
I know it's rude to advertise, but I also know that there are more than a few people in this community who watch the EIHL in the UK. If you are one of those people feel free to join elitehockey where we can discuss everything from how bad Basingstoke are to exactly how much Shawn Skiehar and Andre Payette dislike each other. We'll even accept Newcastle Vipers fans.

If you want to delete this feel free.

Did anyone else see the injury to Colaiacovo (I think that's who is was)?

Has anyone heard what his condition is? The Leaf interviewed on Sportsnet said he was fine... but I didn't hear anything from the broadcasters.

Who'll be the first to lose in '06?
Two weeks into January, & there are four teams left that have yet to lose in 2006. How long will they continue these streaks? Who will last longest? I'll post the respective teams' schedules as long as I think their streak will go.

Carolina Hurricanes (5-0-0)
vs. St. Louis (tomorrow)
vs. Philadelphia (Tuesday)
vs. New York Islanders (Thursday)
vs. Washington (1/21)
vs. Montreal (1/23)
vs. Florida (1/25)

Colarado Avalanche (5-0-0)
vs. Philadelphia (today)

New Jersey Devils (5-0-0)
vs. Chicago (tomorrow)
vs. St. Louis (Tuesday)
vs. Nashville (Thursday)

San Jose Sharks (4-0-0)
vs. Montreal (today)
vs. Tampa Bay (Monday)

Surprisingly enough, I'm going with the former Whale, Carolina to go undefeated the longest into '06. I'm a sucker for stats like this, so this is purely for my own amusement.

I'm 2 days late on this but if you don't have it, NHL Center Ice is free from January 10 - 16...so if you have digital cable or satellite just tune in to your Center Ice channels at game time and there you go.

That was well eh...
Hello Hockey world, for those that would like to know, Joe Thorton's return to Boston lasted just over 5 minutes... he was given a game misconduct for checking from behind at 5:13 of the first period.

A call that was well... questionable to say the least.
